What this will and will not do

It replaces text on a line and keeps the font, size, colour, alignment and any underline. If the new wording does not fit it will move the rest of the line, shrink very slightly, wrap, or move the line to free space — and if none of those are safe it refuses and tells you why, rather than producing a mess.

It will not reflow a whole paragraph, and it cannot edit scanned pages, justified lines, or Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic or Hebrew text. Every edited file is checked before you can save it.
